Why it matters

Asking manually means asking inconsistently.

Asking by hand works for about a fortnight. Then a busy week happens, the habit lapses, and review volume falls off a cliff, which is exactly when a single bad review has the most effect, because there is nothing recent around it.

Easy to forget

Manual asks slip through on busy days.

Wrong timing

Send too early or too late and response rates fall.

Inconsistent message

Ad-hoc requests look unprofessional and convert worse.

How it works

Set it once, collect forever.

1

Choose a trigger

After checkout, an appointment, a purchase or a visit.

2

Set timing & template

Pick the delay and a branded message.

3

Requests send themselves

Every customer gets a timely, professional ask.

Automatic

Never forget to ask again.

Requests are triggered by the events that already happen in your business: a job marked complete, an appointment attended, a payment taken. Once the trigger is set the asking continues at the same rate in a quiet month and a chaotic one, which is what produces the steady review flow that search engines reward.

Requests that feel like you.

Templates are branded, so the request looks like it came from you rather than from a tool, which matters, because a request that looks automated gets treated like one. Timing is yours to set: immediately for a restaurant, a few hours later for a home visit, the next morning for a clinic.

FAQ

Email Review Requests, answered.

Is SMS included?
Yes. Every paid plan includes a monthly SMS allowance for review requests alongside email; see Pricing for details.
When are requests sent?
On the trigger and delay you set (for example, a few hours after checkout) so you catch customers at peak satisfaction.
Can I brand the emails?
Yes: requests use your branding and voice, and stay short and mobile-friendly to maximise responses.
What should a review request email say?
Keep it short, thank them specifically, and make the link the obvious next action. Two or three sentences beat a paragraph. Do not offer anything in return, and do not ask people to contact you first if they are unhappy. That is gating, and it breaches both Google's policy and FTC guidance.
Is SMS included as well as email?
Yes. Every paid plan includes a monthly email and SMS allowance, and SMS tends to perform better for trades and appointment-based businesses.
When should the request be sent?
As close to the good experience as is sensible for your business: immediately for hospitality, a few hours after a home visit, the next morning for a clinic. You set the delay per trigger.
Can I brand the emails?
Yes. Templates carry your branding so requests look like they came from your business rather than a third-party tool.
What if a customer does not respond?
Most will not, and that is normal for every business, which is why the automation matters. Consistent asking across everyone produces the volume; chasing individuals does not.
How many follow-ups should I send?
One reminder is reasonable; more starts to feel like pressure and can cost you the goodwill the review depended on. The bigger gain is almost always sending the first request sooner rather than sending more of them.
Will review requests hurt my email deliverability?
Requests go to your own customers about a transaction they just had, which is the least risky kind of email you can send. Keeping them short, branded and expected is what keeps them out of spam, as is not sending repeat reminders to people who never open them.
