Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 August 2026

At ReviewsGauge, we take the protection of your data seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and services, why we collect it, and the rights you have. Our processing of personal data is subject to applicable data-protection law, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act (“PDPA”).

The basics

What is personal data? Any information relating to an identified or identifiable person, such as name, email address, postal address or phone number, and online identifiers like IP addresses or device IDs.

Who is responsible? The data controller is ReviewsGauge, a trading name. You can reach us about anything in this policy at contact@reviewsgauge.com. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at contact@reviewsgauge.com.

Legal bases. We process personal data to perform our contract with you, in pursuit of our legitimate interests (security, service development, defending or enforcing claims), where you have given consent, and to comply with legal obligations.

Are you obliged to provide data? You only need to provide the personal data required to establish, carry out and end our business relationship, or that we are legally required to collect.

Data we collect automatically

Log data. Each time you visit, our system records the file accessed, date and time, amount of data transferred, retrieval status, browser type and version, IP address, operating system, your internet service provider, the referring website, and the pages you view. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure, reliable operation.

Hosting. Our website is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) from its global network, and the content management system behind it is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd (61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus). Both process connection and usage data on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing the site securely and reliably.

Cookies. We use essential and non-essential (analytics and advertising) cookies. Non-essential cookies are set when you arrive, and you can switch them off at any time with the Opt out button in our cookie notice. See our Cookie Policy for the full list and for how to opt out.

Data you provide to us

Contact. When you contact us we collect your name, email, and the content of your message (which may contain personal data), to handle your request.

Registration. To create an account we collect your full name, username, email and password, to provide the service.

Using our services. When you use ReviewsGauge to manage your own customers’ reviews, you act as the data controller and we act as your data processor under the GDPR. Employee access to your data is strictly need-to-know, logged and audited.

Payments. Purchases are processed by our payment provider Stripe (510 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94103). Payment data is handled solely by Stripe; we have no access to your card details.

Marketing. Where you have consented, we may send you marketing by email or other channels. Every marketing message includes a way to opt out.

Social media. If you interact with us on social platforms, we and the platform may be joint controllers for that processing.

Analytics and advertising. We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), to understand how the site is used, and the Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland), to measure our advertising and to reach people who have shown interest in our services. Both set cookies and receive your IP address, the pages you view and technical details about your browser, and both may process that data outside your country. Neither runs if you choose Opt out in our cookie notice.

Fonts. Our pages load the Inter typeface from Google Fonts, provided by Google Ireland Limited. Your browser requests the font files directly from Google, which means your IP address is transmitted to Google when a page loads.

Who receives your data

Within our organisation, only those who need it to meet contractual and legal obligations have access. We use processors (IT services, telecommunications, sales and marketing) who may receive data for these purposes. We only pass data to third parties where the law permits: for contractual purposes, legitimate interests, or with your consent. We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep your data

We keep personal data for the duration of our business relationship and as required by statutory retention obligations, typically between two and six years depending on the document and applicable law, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

How we protect your data

Our website uses SSL/TLS encryption. We apply technical and organisational measures including encryption and need-to-know access controls. No internet transmission is ever completely secure; if we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify affected individuals as soon as possible.

International transfers

Where we transfer personal data to other companies for the purposes described here, we put contractual and technical safeguards in place to ensure an adequate level of protection.

Special categories, minors & automated decisions

We do not process special-category data unless necessary for the service and you have given explicit consent. We do not knowingly collect data from children or minors. We do not carry out automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects without human involvement.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data; to object to processing; to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior lawful processing); and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We would appreciate the chance to address your concerns first. Contact us at contact@reviewsgauge.com. We aim to respond to requests within 30 days.

Your California privacy rights

This section applies to California residents and uses the terms of the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA. It sits alongside the rest of this policy rather than replacing it.

What we collect and why

In the twelve months before the date at the top of this page, we have collected the following categories of personal information:

  • Identifiers: name, email address, IP address and cookie or device identifiers. Collected when you contact us, create an account, or browse the site.
  • Commercial information: the plan you subscribe to and your billing history. Your card details go to Stripe and we never see them.
  • Internet or network activity: the pages you view, how you arrived, and technical details about your browser and device.
  • Approximate location: a coarse location inferred from your IP address, no more precise than a city.
  • Inferences: advertising audiences built from the above, used to reach people who have shown interest in our services.

We collect this from you directly, automatically from your device as you browse, and from the analytics and advertising providers named earlier in this policy. We use it to run and secure the site, to provide and bill for the service, to answer you, and to measure and target our marketing. We keep it for the periods described under “How long we keep your data” above.

We do not collect sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Selling and sharing

We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We receive no money for it.

We do, however, share personal information in the specific sense the CPRA gives that word. Our website runs the Meta Pixel, which discloses identifiers and browsing activity to Meta so that we can measure our advertising and show ads to people who have visited us. California law treats that as sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising, so we disclose it as such and you can switch it off.

How to opt out

Two ways, and either is enough:

  • Use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link, which also appears in the footer of every page. It stops the analytics and advertising cookies and deletes the identifiers already set.
  • Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser or extension. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a valid opt-out request and act on it automatically, with no further step from you.

Your other rights

You also have the right to know what personal information we hold about you and how we use it, to receive a copy of it, to have it corrected if it is wrong, and to have it deleted. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights: our prices and our service stay the same either way.

To make a request, email contact@reviewsgauge.com. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days, taking a further 45 days only where we tell you we need it. Before we act we will verify who you are, usually by matching the details in your request against what we already hold; for a deletion request we may ask for more. An authorised agent may act for you if they provide written permission signed by you, and we may still contact you to confirm it.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy was last updated on 14 August 2026. We may revise it from time to time to reflect legal or business changes; please check back periodically.
